Cleaning cycleThe Phoenix ABC system is programmed to deliver brewery recommended 'traditional' line cleans, and therefore will not allow 'rapid' or '5 minute' cleans. As the system replicates the cleaning, dosing and timing instructions printed on all leading detergent manufacturers' bottles, a typical cleaning cycle will take around 30-40 minutes - unattended.
'MANUAL' LED this is not a timed function. Use this for manual water flush. light stays on for as long as needed. 'FIRST FLUSH' LED WATER-IN SOLENOID opens. The INTERNAL HEADER TANK then fills with water via the Armitage-Shanks ball valve. When the water level rises sufficiently to activate the TOP FLOAT (located within the header tank) the WATER-IN SOLENOID closes and the WATER PUMP starts to pump water content down the line. When the INTERNAL HEADER TANK level drops sufficiently to activate the BOTTOM FLOAT SWITCH, the WATER PUMP stops. The WATER-IN SOLENOID opens and the process is repeated. This condition is held until the allocated time has expired. 'FIRST DOSE' LED The machine enters the FIRST DOSE mode immediately following the FIRST FLUSH. The WATER PUMP will still be running (emptying whats left of the FIRST FLUSH water in the header tank). The DETERGENT PUMP then runs and discharges detergent into the HEADER TANK. This ensures the DETERGENT PUMP is fully primed. When the HEADER TANK level drops sufficiently to activate the BOTTOM FLOAT, the WATER PUMP will stop. The DETERGENT PUMP will start and discharge into the HEADER TANK. (quantity as set on dose strength switches). The WATER-IN SOLENOID will open and fill the HEADER TANK with water. Once the HEADER TANK level has risen sufficiently to activate the TOP FLOAT SWITCH and the detergent has been added, the WATER PUMP starts again and pumps tank content down the line. This condition is held until allocated time has expired. 'FIRST SOAK 'LED WATER PUMP, WATER-IN SOLENOID and DETERGENT PUMP all at rest. No activity taking place in this period. However, if the HEADER TANK fluid level should fall (perhaps due to syphonage etc), then a fresh tank of detergent/water will be mixed in readiness for the next stage. (FIRST SOAK duration is set on dose timing switches) 'SECOND DOSE' LED The SECOND DOSE operates in the same manner as the FIRST DOSE and the duration is equal to the FIRST DOSE (as set on the dose timing switches) 'SECOND SOAK' LED The SECOND SOAK operates in the same manner as the FIRST SOAK, and the durationis equal to the FIRST SOAK (as set on the soak timing switches) FINAL FLUSH LED Operates in the same manner as the FIRST FLUSH, but the timing is independent. (The duration is as set on final flush timings) CYCLE COMPLETE LED As the name suggests, the CLEANING CYCLE is finished. WATER PUMP and DETERGENT PUMP are at rest and the WATER-IN SOLENOID is closed. The cellar unit should now be switched off | |
